Why this Harz calendar?
The Harz Mountains have been with me for many years - not only as a photographer, but also as someone who experiences this landscape with all her senses. With the calendar “The Harz Mountains by Day and Night 2026”, I would like to share this fascination: quiet winter landscapes, misty valleys, glowing summer evenings - and of course the magic of the starry sky above the mountains.
I selected each motif myself and photographed it at the appropriate time of year. This year, I'm particularly happy about the Northern Lights, which I was able to capture unexpectedly over the Harz Mountains in May. The sunset at the Devil's Wall was also an impressive moment: warm light on ancient rocks - a typical Harz experience. In winter, a picture shows dynamic clouds over the snow-covered landscape at Torfhaus - a shot that required planning, patience and a bit of luck with the weather.
The calendar is therefore not just a collection of beautiful pictures, but a personal review of the year - and perhaps also an invitation to rediscover the Harz Mountains for yourself.
