Comet Tsuchinshan will be best visible in October—possibly with the naked eye. After sunset, we'll photograph it near the star cluster M5.

About the event
The event will only take place under clear skies or with light cloud cover. It is aimed at amateur astrophotographers seeking a group photography experience. Basic techniques for sunset and comet photography will be explained. Due to the return journey, average fitness is assumed.
5 p.m.: Meeting at a hiking car park in Badersleben (depending on the weather, also at a place in the surrounding area)
5:30 - 6 p.m.: Theory of photo position and perspective, camera settings, focusing on the night sky
6 - 7 pm: Photography at sunset
7 - 8 pm: Photographing the comet
